MODERN Eatery is a food and beverage outlet at AthensWas Hotel. It offers delectable comfort food in a relaxed and unpretentious ambience and a fine selection of primarily Greek wines and refreshing cocktails.

Located on the hotel’s ground floor, MODERN is wrapped in the intimacy of the exquisite yet serene atmosphere, giving guests a cosy feeling of warmth and a massive welcome to authentic Athens. The surroundings are fascinating: the design of the furniture, the coloured tapestry, and the hip layout create a unique setting.

The seating arrangement consists of three areas: one indoors, one open-air patio adorned with climbing plants, and one right on the most beautiful and famous pedestrian street in historical Athens, Dionysiou Areopagitou. This last one is the highlight of MODERN. It is the only food and beverage outlet of a five-star hotel in the city’s centre that offers outdoor food and drink in a marvellous and convenient spot.

The menu, created by the distinguished and awarded Greek Chef Alexandros Charalabopoulos, is a delight. It features refreshing, fulfilling salads, stone-oven pizzas, fresh pasta, and desserts to satisfy all preferences. All are prepared on the spot with handpicked ingredients.

The menu is assorted, with a beautiful wine list arranged according to the dishes served. It also offers a wide variety of signature cocktails created by the local famous mixologist, Dimitris Kiakos, also known as GinFather. The restaurant also serves top-quality coffee and spirits.
